Design asia

"Design Asia" is a small-scale enterprise devoted to the promotion of hand loom products-mainly textiles and ready-made garments for women, men and children - that use pure, natural fabrics of cotton,silk and linen,hand-crafted by highly-skilled artisans. Started in 2004 in the eastern metropolis of Kolkata (Calcutta), India, the initial focus was on garments for women, with the textiles sourced from various renowned craft centers in India . In the intervening period, the product range has broadened to include ready-made garments for men and children, and also been extended to other textile products in areas such as home and clothing accessories. The styles are eclectic, mixing traditional with new original designs that emphasize the art of hand loom weavers through their patterns,textures, and colors.
