Sri M.D. Khetan; born on 16th Nov', 1933 in a small village, Banura, District, Sikar (Rajasthan) and came to Jorhat (Assam) in the year 1948 in search of work. He began his career with service at Jorhat (Assam) as an Accountant and began professional career as a businessman in the year 1959 and started a firm under the name and style of M/s Hightension Electricals, dealing with various Electrical Goods, being encouraged and patronized by buyer's of wide repute and to implement long cherished desire, (Determination is Stronger than Destiny) decided to start a Manufacturing Unit is SSI level for manufacturing L.T. Distribution conductors and hence laid the foundation of M/s North Eastern Cables & Conductors Pvt. Ltd. as far back in 1986. Gradually started to manufacture overhead transmission AAAC conductors, AAC conductors, ACSR conductors upto 400 KV lines.
