Synthetic cryolite is a white crystalline powder or a sandy-size granularity, and a pinkish crystalline powder or a sandy-size granularity as well. It slightly soluble in the water, and the water solution shows the acidity. When mixed with sulfuric acid, it will be decomposed with the virulent hydrogen fluoride. It is mainly used as flux for aluminum production, pesticide, and for glass, enamel, resin and rubber industries as well. Quality StandardGB 4291-84 purity 98% min. F 52- 54% Al 12-13% Na 33% max.
